These bags are made using fine lighthouse tapestries that are no longer in production. Over time, I’ve purchased remaining quantities when I find them, and I continue to search for vintage lighthouse tapestries of exceptional quality. Each piece is selected for clarity, color depth, and durability — fabrics meant to be carried, not just admired.
Lighthouse imagery has long resonated with people, and for good reason. In the Northeast, lighthouses are woven into everyday life — along rocky coasts, harbors, and fishing towns from Maine through New Jersey. They are symbols of protection and continuity, tied to maritime history, family memory, and place. Unlike trends, lighthouse imagery doesn’t age out. It remains familiar, grounding, and quietly powerful across generations.
